Performance

I love to perform and play the piano. Over the years, I have accompanied choirs and soloists, performed solo for weddings and other events, contributed music for church programs, and participated in music festivals and workshops.
When I lived in California I loved being part of the Amateur Pianists group, and I hope to find or help create a similar group in Minnesota soon.
​I love helping to make events and programs more meaningful by incorporating beautiful music. Please contact me if you are interested in having a pianist or accompanist for an upcoming event.

Recordings

I hope to put more content on my YouTube channel soon! I also have some recordings of Christmas music here. Life as a father, husband, and professor is busy, but I'm trying to carve out time to make some new recordings over the next couple of years.

Original Arrangements

I have written several arrangements (transcriptions) for piano solo. Thus far I have focused on arrangements of spiritual music (hymns and Christmas carols), but I hope to branch out to other genres as well. I hope to make these available to the public soon (both the sheet music as well as recordings). Arrangements I have written so far:
  • Baptism Medley (2004) - Piano solo arrangement of a medley of children's spiritual music: "Baptism", "I'm Trying to Be Like Jesus", "When I Am Baptized", "I Feel My Savior's Love".
    • I have performed this at many baptism services
  • Missionary Medley (2004) - Piano solo arrangement of a medley of hymns for missionaries: "We'll Bring the World His Truth", "I'll Go Where You Want Me to Go", "Because I Have Been Given Much", "Called to Serve", "God Be With You Till We Meet Again".
    • I performed in 2004 before leaving on my 2-year mission
  • Angels We Have Heard on High (2017) - Piano solo arrangement
  • How Firm a Foundation (2018-?) (work in progress) - This work started as a piano solo, then morphed into a piano duet, and now is being reworked into a piano solo again.

  • Jesus the Very Thought of Thee (2018) - Piano solo arrangement
    • Performed in church service October 2018
  • Away in a Manger (2018) - Piano solo arrangement
    • Performed in church Christmas service December 2018
  • I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day (2019) (work in progress) - Piano duet that needs to be finalized
    • Performed one version in church Christmas service December 2019
    • Performed a different version in a different church Christmas service December 2019
  • Once in Royal David's City (2019-?) (work in progress) - Original arrangement for SATB accompaniment; piano solo version is a work in progress
    • Performed SATB accompaniment with church choir December 2019
